Call-Out for Creative Practitioners - Ysgol Brynrefail
Lead Creative Schools
Ysgol Brynrefail would like to explore how new creative approaches in teaching and learning can develop written and oral confidence in pupils, foster aspiration and broaden vocabulary in English.
Brief description of project
Working with a class of Year 8 high achievers, the English department and the History Department, we would like to explore how creative approaches in teaching and learning in a crosscurricular context can further develop ambitious capable learners. Raising attainment in English and aiming for excellence in the teaching and learning process are key priorities for the school.
The project will be based on ‘Shipwrecks’ and the pupils have expressed an interest in creating a programme and written work similar to the ‘Horrible Histories’ series on this theme.
Send your CV and a letter describing what you have to offer this project to Elen.Roberts@amgueddfacymru.ac.uk by 5 December.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday, December 11th , when you will have the opportunity to meet the pupils and teachers and facilitate a brief activity with the class.
You are welcome to contact Elen Roberts for further information – please see contact details below.
