Ceramic artist working mainly in porcelain. My porcelain agateware is a contemporary use of a traditional technique. The colours are in the clay itself and not a surface decoration. My hands do all the work as they tear paper and clay to construct body forms. I find it a very spontaneous way to create, and I can respond to the clay and impress my emotion on it as I sculpt the pieces. I am very interested in the human form and the human condition, our fragility and sensitivities.
