I’m a story-teller working in English and Welsh with traditional tales, myths and legends. I’m particularly interested in the link of legend and landscape and of telling stories of nature. I’ve recently published a collection of local stories “Denbighshire Folk Tales” published by The History Press, 2011.

By means of variety of activities Gwynedd’s Literature Promotion scheme aims at introducing all sorts of literature to all sorts of people. These activities include ‘Sgwad Sgwennu,’ ‘Hei Hogia’, stomps, poetry slams, reading clubs, writing clubs, National Book day celebrations, National poetry day. It’s all in a day’s read! The Gwynedd Literature Promotion scheme is supported by the Academy and Gwynedd Council. The Academy is the Welsh National Literature Programme and society of writers.

I use layers of transparent, textured and coloured paper with charcoal to make large pictures inspired by the ever-changing and enigmatic qualities of this landscape and seashore. I sometimes combine words with images – and make cards, water colours, drawings and books.

Tŷ Newydd is the National Writers’ Centre for Wales, and is part of Literature Wales. The Centre offers a program of creative writing courses which is wide-ranging and designed for people at all levels of experience, as well as courses specially tailored for schools.

Palas Print is an independent bookshop located within Caernarfon's medieval town walls. We sell a wide range of books in English and Welsh for readers of all ages, and also organise a programme of events in the shop and co-organise Noson 4a6 and Gwyl Arall (another) Festival.
