I work in porcelain and ceramics alongside panting and jewellery making. My porcelain hanging sculptures and jewellery are in colours and shapes evocative of the sea, plants and organic forms. My sculptures are created by individual pieces that I hand sculpt; each piece is assembled to create one large piece from one to five feet in length. My paintings are inspired by the natural world and have been influenced by wildlife and local scenery of North Wales, alongside a collection based on my time travelling abroad. Both commissions and pre-arranged visits to my studio are welcome.

Set within the grounds of Parc Glynllifon, iard craft workshops are a perfect chance to be creative within the stunning backdrop of the estate which features extensive woodland walks, sculptures, an arboretum and numerous follies, fountains and cascades. Parc Glynllifon is located on the fringes of Snowdonia National Parc and is only a mile from the beach.

These unique art and craft courses are hosted by the resident artists whose studios are located in the Grade 2 listed estate workshops and courtyard. Your enjoyment, creativity and inspiration is guaranteed in this relaxed and friendly environment.

I make ceramic sculptures in a variety of different clays. I enjoy the variety of colour and texture this gives. My work is fired to high temperatures so suitable for inside or outside. The work is figurative, representative and imaginative; and I like to show movement and feeling. There are animals and people and plenty of dragons!

My hands do all the work as they tear paper and clay to construct body forms. I find it a very spontaneous way to create, and I can respond to the clay and impress my emotion on it as I sculpt the pieces. I am very interested in the human form and the human condition, our fragility and sensitivities.

I’ve been creating silver jewellery from my Snowdonia workshop since 1975. My range of jewellery includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, cufflinks and rings – all individually designed. Since making the 2009 National Eisteddfod Crown, my work has become more organic with curves and less regular intense lines.
