Hi Jan,
The post is funded for the artist at roughly £90 for a half day. I can’t give an exact figure at the moment as it depends on the number of sessions. The sessions will be evaluated by me (Kat, the PhD student). I am hoping for results to show visual art sessions can increase quality of life and well being for people with dementia. Most of us who have led or watched art sessions for people with dementia have witnessed the amazing effects it can have on those taking part. The anecdotal evidence is strong, but the scientific evidence not so. I aim to increase the evidence base so that more projects can be funded in the future.

Is this a funded post for the artist or is it funded for the Phd student who uses the artists work as a basis to enhance his or her study?
Waht does the limited budget actually mean in figures for a proposed 36 week programme of artwork in dementia?
