Following the closure of Oriel Dafydd Hardy last year, some of the core members of the Oriel, which includes artists, exhibitors and helpers, has created a collaborative group called the ‘Box’. This year with the help Dafydd Hardy staff and other supporters, the Box has been busy working towards opening a new arts center in Caernarfon.
The center, Ty Glyndŵr, offers gallery space, artists’ studios, workshop space and arts reference centre.
The group is still seeking funds for completion of the refurbishment of the building, paying for equipment and materials, but the good news is that the group will be able to advertise for two freelance jobs to help to get the pace up and running.
One job is to run the center and the gallery on a daily basis – for more information click here. The second job as an assistant to hold public and community events – click here for more information.
This is an exciting opportunity to get stuck in at the start of something sensational.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a fine art student graduate from Birmingham and currently doing my teacher training in art for secondary students, it would be great to join the team if there are any relevant jobs, such as workshop artist for schools and public, i would like to hear from you.
Thank you.
