Cymru Contemporary Craft Fair

Conwy Quay, Conwy:

Saturday, December 17th 2011

About us:

Cymru Contemporary Craft Fair was set up in 2010 by Catrin Mostyn Jones a designer maker who has just moved back to the North Wales area after many years away. She felt that there was a gap in provision of selling events for North Wales makers and an event was much needed  for makers to showcase and  sell their work directly to  buyers. All Craft events of national and international standing take place in London, Manchester and South Wales and Catrin felt that it was time North Wales got in on the act!

So the first CCCF opened its doors in September 2010 at the Waterloo Hotel Betws Y Coed attracting an audience of buyers and visitors. Sales for makers exceeded all expectations, which showed that our marketing strategy worked, with the event being advertised in all professional craft publications as well as the Helfa Gelf website and brochure.

Building on the success of the first year we are into our second year and in conjunction with Conwy County Borough Council and Helfa Gelf /Art Trail the event is moving to the quay side at Conwy which will be a fantastic location, with a footfall which can only bring an increase in both visitor and sales figures. We are also expanding the CCCF to include a pre Christmas selling event as well as the event in September.

We look forward to welcoming you to the event on Saturday 17th September 10am-5pm.
