Welcome to Creative Gwynedd

What is the value of the arts in our daily lives?

Alun Ffred Jones – Assembly Member for Arfon stated…

Cultural activities play a key role in bringing people together… we must do everything we can to raise awareness of the many exciting and challenging opportunities available to taking part in creative activity…

And this is exactly what the Gwynedd Arts Forum aims to do. So, why not take a few minutes to browse through the Gwynedd Arts Forum website and discover the wealth we have in the county, from poetry nights to Writing Squads, from fine art to Criw Celf, from classical music to summer festivals and gigs with rock bands and acoustic artists. The old and new, folk dancing to hip hop, new innovative drama to old favorites in the club shows. Discover the beauty and tranquility of the Tŷ Newydd Writers’ Centre, the excitement and energy of the Galeri in Caernarfon, inspiration of the Gwynedd Museum and Gallery and an array of Galleries large and small throughout the county to exhilarate your heart and open your eyes to a new creative world. Try it, you will not be disappointed, enjoy!

Remember to connect to our social media sites on facebook, twitter and you tube for the latest news and opportunities, and to discover more about our artistic work.

Hey Mistar Urdd! Welcome to Gwynedd!

Eryri is the place to be in 2012 as Gwynedd welcomes the Urdd National Eisteddfod – one of Europe’s biggest youth festivals – to the county.

Between 4 and 9 June around 15,000 competitors and 100,000 visitors will congregate at the festival Maes at Glynllifon near Caernarfon to enjoy this unique celebration of the talents of our young people, Welsh language and culture.

The Urdd National Eisteddfod offers something to suit everybody’s taste, no matter what your age. For more information click here.

Remember that the Iard artists are situated in Parc Glynllifon, how about taking a look at what they have to offer during the festival!
